Some brief thoughts on comedians:latka gravas

Thought #1: Dane Cook is not very funny.

Thought #2: It also occurred to me tonight that Borat is the spiritual inheritor (or cheap knock-off, depending on your angle) of the legacy of Latka Gravas, and Cohen’s style in general is clearly derivative of Kaufman’s.

This is not a criticism, or an indictment. It’s just an observation. I’ll probably go see Borat whenever it comes out.

“Dane Cook is not very funny.” - absolutely correct on that one. It’s amazing how much money you can get just for running around on stage and being energetic.

I agree with #1. And he’s also not that good looking, especially now that we have a Hi def tv… people just aren’t as attractive highly uh.. defined.

And Borat looks DAMN funny.
