When you run out of white wine to make fondu, mirin does not make an acceptable substitute.

I nearly cried when I dumped that pan of beautifully melted swiss into the garbage.

If you’ll excuse me, now, I am going to go vomit.

A ruined fondue is so sad. I’ve had to throw one out before (due to burning) and had to hold back the tears myself. Better luck next time.

I would like to point out this ‘experiment’ happened after I had already gone up to bed. I would never have allowed it. I did wonder though, from up in loft, what smelled like spoiled milk….

It was entirely too sweet, yes.. In fact, sweet enough it was more like a dessert. A gross, sickly sweet rice/cheese dessert. That you throw away instead of eating.
