sugar in my meat

I defy you to go to the grocery store (well, Kroger anyway) and find hot dogs, bratwurst or other sausage that do not have added corn syrup. It’s the third ingredient in every single brand after “beef” (or turkey, or chicken, or a combination) and water. Every single one.

Note to the food processing industry: I do not want corn syrup in my meat! I want meat, not sugar! Meat!

If you get bothered that easily, you probably should avoid looking at the label next time you buy chorizo. I did once, and now have to keep telling myself “but they’re a delicacy in Mexico.”

For hot dogs go Kosher. The nutritional info for Hebrew National dinner franks shows no corn syrup.

MEAT! MEAAAAAT!

POUR SOME SUGAR ON MY MEAT….OH IN THE NAME OF LOVE!

I thought that song couldn’t get any better, but boy was I wrong
