17 Jul 2001My friend Jay pointed me at a great website called http://www.mwave.com that has some amazing deals on computer parts, and barebones systems.
I am thinking about ordering a motherboard and a thunderbird 850 to stick ina case and use as my dad’s router/firewall as well as a webserver for the site that will soon be at http://www.agenteight.com/.
Turns out a 486 makes a great router/firewall, but it doesn’t do quite as well when you start trying to run apache, mysql, modperl, php, etc on it.
It should be fun to finally have a decent well-powered webserver/nameserver/firewall.
