state of affairs

Appropos of nothing:

Obama: The system sucks, but I’m so awesome that it’ll melt away before me.
Edwards: The system sucks, and we’re gonna have to fight like hell to destroy it.
Clinton: The system sucks, and I know how to work within it more than anyone.

I liked this summary – and, in a nutshell, it explains succinctly why I prefer Edwards. I am thinking about voting for him in the primary. I am a little tired of pissing in the wind, which unfortunately is about what a vote for Kucinich amounts to.

My read on Obama is, on the contrary: The system sucks, but the American people are capable of putting aside their petty differences to fix it, if their attention is focused on it in the right way; and I’m here to try and provide such focus.

Or something like that.

Why I am favoring Obama: The systems sucks and it will be hard to fix, but I am a good leader and I will be honest with you as we figure it out.

Why I am not quite favoring Edwards: The system is broken and I am convinced who is to blame. They are not invited to the table as we try and fix it.

There is always Huckabee: Hey, look a here at this confederate flag. Ain’t that perdy.
