vote

Don’t forget to vote (for David Briley) today.

I just got back – early voting managed to elude me this year. It made no difference – my polling station (East Park community center on Woodland) was basically empty. This is either a reflection of low turnout, the size of my district, or the time I showed up (8AM). Probably a bit of each.

The feelings of arriving at a polling station for an election and seeing no line are mixed. At first, you’re like “Sweet, there’s no line!!”, followed by “Hm… there’s … no line…” Gooooo democracy!

I wish so much that I could vote in this election. Alas, I live a tenth of a mile from the Davidson County line. *sigh*

I voted this morning as well; I think the ‘cue the tumbleweeds’ feeling at the polling station was a combo early morning and that people don’t seem to get that yes, in fact it does matter who your local government is. Too many people my age I talk to are all, ‘What? There’s an election? It’s not time for a new president yet.’

don’t just vote…vote for pete westerholm!!!!

What kind of crazy state has a voting day that isn’t Tuesday?
