the sheila divine
21 Jul 2007Last night at Rumours, in between bottles of overpriced wine, I was talking to a girl who was in school at Berklee around the same time I was in Boston, and we were swapping stories about bands and venues we used to frequent. I was surprised that she had heard of The Sheila Divine, a band I had befriended while I was up there – but I guess I forgot how popular they were up there for a while. I still have a sealed copy of their first single laying around somewhere.
Anyways, I was browsing around and I found the totally awesome home page I made for them back in the day.. (The archive.org cache is from 2001, but it must have been around 1998 that I made the page). Behold my tremendous web-design skillz.
It made me miss Boston a lot. I need to get back up there to visit.
i still listen to their cds, and i saw them once in st. louis. I didn’t realize how new they were when we used to go see them - july 1997 was their first show, and we were up there in september. crazy. i’m a little sad i wasn’t informed about thsoe reunion shows. i’d like to see them again. and boston.
