The lens survived, at least. Thank goodness for hoods, right?

Ouch.
Bad enough that it no longer turns on, and the shutter release button no longer responds quite right (mushy, as if misaligned). The case is misaligned/askew on the grip side, where it landed.. Maybe fixable, but it’s probably toast.
I feel a bit nauseated for you.
