Rock Island

We went camping at Rock Island this weekend. I had never been there before – it was great. Fall Creek Falls are pretty famous, but the Great Falls at Rock Island really put them to shame. They’re not as high, but they’re .. well, greater. Which I guess is why the whole area is called Great Falls.

The falls pictured above are the Twin Falls, and then there’s a series of smaller falls that run maybe half a mile through a long gorge that you can walk through during the day – though you are encouraged to run for the hills if you hear the siren. That means they’re gonna open the dam.
