Sam Smith, who I mocked openly earlier this week, has a pretty good review of Lady in the Water, which makes me want to see it – if only because I might hate it for a different reason than I would have thought.
UPDATE: NK’s review actually really makes me want to see it, now.
Well, because his review tends to indicate that it’s not really a stupid horror movie (which is why I thought I would hate it), but instead is more of a “modern fairy tale”.
This means I can fall back to the secondary reason I’d probably hate it, which is that I’ve never really seen a Shyamalan movie that I liked.. Unbreakable was sorta okay..
Really? Unbreakable is my least favorite. So far.

I may have been the only person I know who liked The Village, and I was really excited about Lady In The Water until I saw that stupid trailer where they show the animal thing. It looks pretty friggin fake.
