Calypso Cafe really, really needs to open a location downtown. There is no place downtown that is all of a) cheap, b) good, c) not absolutely terrible for you. Calypso Cafe is those things, but it’s not downtown.

Calypso had a place in the Arcade a few years back. Don’t know why it closed.
There isn’t much that is healthy in downtown… unless you consider sushi healthy. Especially at night.
You might want to try Charlie Fenton’s MainsTreat Deli over in the Market Street Emporium. It’s vegetarian and tasty. Although, they kinda have random business hours.
I dig Amy’s Restaurant on Church Street as well Pacifica which is just a block down. Those places are normally only open during the day, though. They have some decent healthy alternatives.
Chris works in Market Street. Also he loves meat. Oh well.

There used to be a Calypso Cafe in the Arcade downtown. I don’t know when it closed but it has be within the last 5 years.
I agree though. I would prefer it be in East Nashville though ;)
