Please, no.
Gore/Edwards.
Roll it over in your head.
Kerry is out for obvious reasons – the man is a sore spot regardless of what you think of him. Hillary is out.
Gore has reinvigorated himself and his base. He’s this giant symbol of the chance to roll back and pretend the last fucking 8 years didn’t happen.
For the sake of the Democratic party, I pray that you are wrong. very wrong.
Why is everybody hatin’ on Al Gor?
The big problem with Gore is all the stuff that we already know is wrong with him. The great advantage of Gore is that anything that’s wrong with him, we probably already know.
Besides losing the race to the White House, Gore and Edwards both lost their home states. How do you bounce back from that and win?
Seriously, No one has answered Chris’ question: Why is everybody hatin’ on Al Gor?
I mean… all the stuff that we already know is wrong with him. …doesnt answer the question.
Somehow, I am reminded of William S. Burroughs’ routine about the dinosaurs.
Extinction is just a state of mind, man.
What we need is MORE SIZE!
Why is everybody hatin’ on Al Gor?
Because we were told to by Karl Rove. And we know he’s trustworthy. I remember back in the 2000 election, I was asking people this same question, and they couldn’t come up with a good answer.
Here’s a few issues: Gore is wooden and uninteresting. Have you heard him speak lately? I’ve heard some pretty damn impassioned words from him.
He claims he invented the Internet. He’s a liar. Unless someone can find a clip of him saying this, I don’t believe it. From what I understand his actual comment was more like I helped the Internet get funding, which was heavily spun so that now it’s generally believe that he actually claimed this.
He’s stuck up, an ivory tower intellectual Speaking for myself, if intellect is an issue, I’d vote for the smarter candidate. I’d rather have a president that looks down on me because I don’t fully understand global warming than a president who looks down on my because I still believe in evolution.
Of course, the problem there is that I am speaking for myself, and most Americans may not get the chance to have their Gore myths debunked; as a consequence, Gore might not get the chance he deserves.
Thanks! Your comment has been submitted and will appear shortly.
I’ve been wondering about this lately. He’s been doing quite a few things in the public eye lately. I heard a speech he gave on something a few weeks ago that was so impassioned and against the stereotype, I was almost surprised to find out it was him.
I wonder what they’ll try for VP. Edwards? Hillary? Should be interesting to see.
