CORONADO, California (AP) – President Bush will cut short his vacation to return to Washington on Wednesday, two days earlier than planned, to help monitor federal efforts to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina, the White House said Tuesday.
Well, that’s nice of him – we all realize the sacrifice involved in holding the office in the country, but cutting a 5-week vacation short by two days is really above and beyond.
Yah, well you know this was all Bush’s fault anyway. He opposes the Kyoto protocol and furthers Global Warming just because he wants more profit$ for his oil buddies. Plus this wag-the-dog storm just mysteriously seemed to come along at the right time to get Karl Rove and the Crawford vigil off the front page, hmmm??? Can anybody say “H-A-R-P”? Hmmm?
If only they hadn’t stole the election (again) and we had John Kerry in there. The world would love us, and none of this would be happening.

My prediction elsewhere: Bush declares war on “weather extremism”. Immediately invades Iran in retaliation. Accuses detractors of siding with the hurricanes. Various spots teams are forced to change their names. When questioned, makes repeated reference to “the tragic events of August 2005”. Karl Rove who?
