attention gun nuts

Amanda and I have been wanting to take a class on gun safety and whatnot just for the hell of it. There’s a place within walking distance of my new office called “Gun City”. It looks pretty shady, and it’s right next to a giant porn superstore, but their website actually looks okay. Anyone know the reputation of this place? Can anyone recommend a place that might be less seedy, and where I have less of a chance of being immediately killed if someone learns I don’t support the war in Iraq?

I’m going to be taking a couple of friends out for some beginner firearm training here in a few weeks, but we’ll be going to a friends range just outside of town. I’ll be sure to take pictures.

I live in Smyrna and have dropped into Gun City a few times. I’ve never had a problem with them but I was only purchasing ammo.

The area is rougher but it was not always so.
