blogger comments

I have noticed a lot of blogs lately I’ve been reading that require a blogger account to make a comment.

Sorry, folks, I am not going to bother. Take it from me, as a representative sample of the prototypical lazyass reading your blog.

For the brief duration that I required typekey authentication on my blog for comments, I .. didn’t get any.

I suggest you allow anonymous comments or whatever blogger lets you get away with.

But they don’t have the tools we have to delete comment spam when it gets through.

Hm, interesting point.

I wonder if blogger has any plans to fight comment spam? or if they do anything now as is?

If I’m not mistaken, when Blogger first started with the comments there were two options: Blogger user (login) or annonymous. Then, some months later, people could post signing their name and website too, even without login at Blogger – and it’s still up.

I think it depends on the writer’s choice then.
