good news

This is good news:

SOFTWARE GIANT Microsoft has formally u-turned on its decision to stop publicly backing changes to laws that prevent discrimination on the grounds of sexuality.

Microsoft denied this and said that it had decided not to back forthcoming legislation, although it encouraged its staff to do so. Recently we reported how Bill Gate’s indicated that the company was about to do a u-turn on that idea.

Now in an email to staff, the softly spoken, shy and retiring, CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer has announced that the company would be publicly backing changes to the rules.

What’s with the “softly spoken” and “shy and retiring” – is the Register trying to call Steve Ballmer gay?

My people call it sarcasm.

Hmm is your blog going to eat the link I put in that sentence?

No way, my blog would never be so rude.

I don’t know anything about Steve Ballmer, so I guess that one went over my head.
